How to Become a Citizen in the Space Acceleration Network

Sign In

* NOTE: If you already have an external wallet such as MetaMask, you can sign in with that method and skip ahead to Fund Your Account. If you already have an external wallet with funds available on Arbitrum, you can skip ahead to Become a Citizen.

  1. Visit MoonDAO.com

  2. Click the “Sign In” button

  3. Create an account with your phone number, email, or social sign in.

  4. After creation, the “Sign In” button will change to display the first and last characters of your wallet address. This address is associated with the sign-in method you used, whether email, phone number, etc.

Fund Your Account

  1. You can fund your wallet directly through the “Fund Wallet” feature using Coinbase onramp or MoonPay (not affiliated with MoonDAO). Debit cards are recommended rather than credit cards.

  2. Purchase Ethereum (ETH). You will want at least 0.012 ETH (~$45 USD) to cover the annuel membership fee, plus any transaction fees.

What if you can’t fund your wallet at this step?

If MoonPay or Coinbase onramp aren’t working for you, you can create an account at Coinbase.com or any other central exchange, and purchase Ethereum directly.

  • It may take up to 3-5 business days for the funds to clear from your payment source and be available to transfer outside of Coinbase.

  • Once you’ve purchased ETH and your payment has cleared, transfer it to your external wallet address above on the Arbitrum network. 

    • On the MoonDAO website, sign in, and click the same button again to expand your wallet and copy your full address with the copy icon.

    • This is the address where you will fund your account in the next steps.

  • If you transfer on ETH mainnet or any other Layer 2 or you will need to bridge funds to Arbitrum.

    • In Coinbase: click on “Transfer” in the top right > Send Crypto. Select “Ethereum” from the send asset selector, then change the network to “Arbitrum”. Send MAX to your wallet address from above.

  • Upon funding your wallet, you can proceed to final step, Become a Citizen.

Become a Citizen

  1. Visit the onboarding page https://moondao.com/citizen 

  2. Sign In with the same wallet you used initially, if you are not already signed in.

  3. Click the “Become a Citizen” button.

  4. Upload a photo of yourself to use our AI-powered astronaut image generator. For best results, use a headshot directly facing the camera.

  5. At checkout, review your AI-generated profile picture, basic profile info and on-chain data, and review the terms and conditions.

  6. Click “Check Out” to proceed to payment and sign the approval or transactions in your wallet.

  7. You will be redirected to your newly created profile page. Please click the pencil icon (top right) to complete your profile info with a brief bio, social links, etc. You must sign the transaction in your wallet to save your changes.
